Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to sign up ahead of time or can I just walk into a CU Service Center® and access my account?
You do not need to sign up beforehand. As long as you have a state-issued driver’s license or another un-expired VALID U.S. government-issued photo I.D. with signature, the name of your home credit union and your account number, accessing your account at a CU Service Center® is easy.

Are there cash withdrawal limits when I use a CU Service Center®?
Yes, many CU Service Centers® may limit cash withdrawals to $500 per day, regardless of your credit union’s policy.

Can I have immediate access to funds deposited at a CU Service Center®?
Not always. The funds you deposit at a CU Service Center® location may not be available for immediate withdrawal from your credit union account. Holds are placed by your own credit union on items you deposit through CU Service Centers® based on your credit union’s hold policies. CU Service Centers® CANNOT remove a hold placed on your account. You must contact your own credit union. Please refer to your credit union’s Fund Availability Policy for further information.

Are there certain account services I cannot perform away from my home credit union?
Yes. CU Service Centers® cannot accept a stop payment request on your own checking account. You must contact your own credit union for this service. If you need to stop payment on a check you obtained from the CU Service Centers® location, such as a cashier’s check, money order or official check, you must contact the CU Service Centers® location where you obtained the check. There will be a waiting period not to exceed 90 days before funds can be released. You may be required to complete an indemnity agreement.
