Creating an environment that’s down to earth

We all have a responsibility to be good stewards of our natural surroundings. That’s why we’ve built this building with sustainable materials that harness the island’s natural resources, greatly reducing our carbon footprint.

We all share this one planet and this one island. We believe that doing business in a green, eco-friendly way is the smart way to do business for our members, their families and for the generations that will follow.

Enjoy the tour. Hafa Adai!

The Coast360 building is the first LEED certified building on island. It brings together many innovative technologies such as a vegetative roof to prevent heat islands—drastic fluxuations in exterior temperatures— along with a rainwater collection cistern which provides irrigation and water for flushing toilets. Energy use is reduced over standard building construction through the use of high-efficiency air conditioning and lighting, and other green building design elements. The green revolution not only encourages us all to be better stewards of our environment, but also emphasizes design of healthy and comfortable buildings. Our building does this by utilizing materials with low VOC content, sunshades to control direct sunlight and glare along with an atrium to allow sunlight to penetrate to the interior of the building.

We encourage you to take a tour of our site and branch. Look for the  signs with the symbol which discuss the specific way in which this building meets LEED standards.

You will find the following 28 signs along with information about a specific green element.
